Barter? Oh yeah, that’s when people trade things without money. So, what?

Sooner or later you will either be without money or the money you have will not buy anything, or you do not have enough money to pay bills, plus buy food, plus keep warm- the list goes on and on.

But I don’t know a thing about barter.

Now is the time to start learning.

Barter Handbook Cover

A Handbook is supposed to cover all or most aspects of a single topic in general form with some specifics.. That is what we have tried to do. As the topic changes or more information is made available, the book will be upgraded.

This book, as with all the others, is based upon our personal experience all the way back to the 1930's, when bartering was a necessary, serious business. No one had money, so it was barter or starve. We thought the world was coming to an end when milk began to cost ten cents a quart, delivered daily, in the city.
We have also lived in the country where you took your own bottles to the dairy and filled them from the chiller, and left money in a cup. Most people were honest and fair. We took the milk home and made our own butter and cheese.

We have updated the content to cover current conditions, including the computer and the Internet. Oh, yes, the IRS wants a cut, too. See the Contents, below.

What To Do?

Now is the time to acquire items for barter. The kind of items that everybody needs, or wants.

Where do I go to Barter?

What about barter items that are not new?

What about the IRS and taxes on Barter?

What’s the difference between as Swap Meet and a Barter Meet?

Is Barter Scrip a form of money? Where do I get some?

How are Barter item prices established?

This is an entire book that answers these questions, plus several more, about barter.
